5 days 'till take off

Well, 5 more days in the USA and we still haven't really packed yet. Just piles of stuff. When you go RVing for that many days there is a lot of stuff to take. we will shop at Walmart for a few supplies, but don't want to have to buy everything down under. The main reason for this blog is to let you know the calendar link on the blog, that works, is the one that is at the top and misspelled, "calandar".This link will always be on Feb. 21. The link in the sidebar that stays put does not yet, and maybe never will, work. We will begin blogging on March 2 assuming we have a wireless connection.

Enjoy, m&k

14 days and we land in Brisbane

For family and friends that want to follow us around Australia please go to the calendar section and check our tentative itinerary. We will post daily when we have internet access. I don't suppose we will have it when we are diving on the GBR. Like the U.S. most campgrounds are said to have wifi. We are not packed yet, and with all the dive equipment, camera equipment and some basic RV equipment we don't have much room left for clothes. But heck, it will be the end of summer and the start of fall.
Well this post is more for practice than anything else. We still have a lot of odds and ends to tie up here before we go away for 80 days. Thanks for putting up with our initial stumblings.

Almost ready for 80 days around Oz

Here we are, just 21 and 22 years old getting ready to leave the USA for a minimum of two years. We did not really know what was in store for us, but we were ready for an adventure and Mike had at least finally landed a job teaching music.

The other picture is of us now. Just a couple of retired teachers out to see the world.

If you decide to follow our travels throughout Australia we would be happy to have you. We will post as often as we can find wi/fi spots. Please feel free to add comments and or questions. Since this is our first travel blog we welcome any advise you may have. We may not be able to technically use your advise, but we would appreciate it just the same. You can go the the calendar and look at our purposed agenda.
